Xarkin Software Announces Availability of Xarkin Motion Platform 2
New release helps animation and technical teams create a wider range of motion in less time
Ottawa, Ontario — Xarkin Software today announced the availability of Xarkin Motion Platform 2, a major platform update designed to help animators, programmers, and production teams create a broader range of motion with greater control and in less time. Xarkin positions its platform around automated physics-based motion, simulation, and control for articulated assemblies, with applications spanning animation, real-time experiences, and robotics.
Building on the company’s earlier Motion Platform 1 release, which provided Blender users with free motion generation for a period of time, Motion Platform 2 introduces three significant advances. These additions include fully parameterized motion models, motion script for programmatic motion creation, and user control over how automated transitions occur from one motion element to another.
Together, these additions substantially expand the breadth of motion that teams can produce while improving workflow efficiency. Xarkin’s product language already emphasizes broader, more expressive motion with reduced time and investment, and Motion Platform 2 strengthens that value proposition for both creative users and workflow owners.
For animators and programmers, the release provides more direct control over motion creation. Parameterized models make it possible to work more fully with the available behavior of each motion model, motion script enables programmatic control over generated movement, and transition controls give users greater authority over how motion elements connect and resolve in practice.
For product managers, technical directors, animation technology leads, tools engineers, robotics software leads, simulation leads, and production heads, the release addresses a familiar operational challenge: how to expand motion variety without proportionally increasing production effort. By increasing motion range while improving control and reuse, Motion Platform 2 is aimed at teams that need more output from the same workflow.
“Xarkin Motion Platform 2 is about helping teams create a wider range of motion in less time,” said Mike Kelly. “By fully parameterizing motion models, introducing motion script, and giving users control over automated transitions, this release gives both animators and technical teams a much stronger foundation for producing motion efficiently and at greater scale.”
Xarkin’s broader platform messaging highlights support for articulated assemblies, simulation, retargeting, and real-time control, and the company’s support material for Xarkin Motion 2.0 describes motion requests built from parameterized motion elements, modifiers, and transition parameters. Motion Platform 2 extends that direction with a more capable foundation for creative and technical motion workflows.
